Burunchel

Burunchel is situated on a slope and still preserves traces of its previous existence as an expanse of pastureland. It is one of the entrance points for the park and is worth visiting just to see the whitewashed facade of the hermitage of San Julián, which dates back to the 15th century.

Every August since 2003 the town has held a livestock fair, scheduled to coincide with the festivals celebrating the local patron saint, and it has become one of the largest fairs of its kind in Jaén.
